A deceptive textile installation based on “Costa’s minimal surface”, a geometric model which reflects the spreading of a membrane between three frameworks. The membrane exhibited here is made of crocheted textiles whose supple qualities allow the formation of complex and intriguing geometric structures. The forms were planned with digital tools but executed by hand using millennia-old traditions. The installation’s materials and colors were inspired by the Jaffa port and its fishing nets.
